I am a Ph.D. student in the Arts and Humanities (A&H) program at the University of Texas at Dallas as well as working full-time in the Honors College at UT Dallas. My days are spent creating and putting out fires in the Honors College (UT Dallas). My research currently focuses on the Good Neighbor Policy (U.S. and Latin America during WWII), cartography, and storytelling through games.
When I'm not knee deep in my studies or working an event for my department, I read as much fiction and non fiction (unrelated to my studies) as possible and playing with my pup, Teddy Roosevelt. My vacations generally consist of running long distances (mainly half marathons) in other states. My boss calls me crazy. She believes I should spend two weeks on a beach so that I can return tan and relaxed instead of sore and hobbled.
